Nationwide technical issues means 999 calls are down

A NATIONWIDE technical issue means people are unable to call the emergency services. 

In a statement realised by Thames Valley Police, people are now being asked to call 101.

The statement reads: “Due to an ongoing nationwide technical issue, we are currently asking people not to call 999.

“Instead, in an emergency, please call 101. For all non-emergency enquiries, members of the public are asked to make a report online.

“We will provide an update as soon as this national issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience at this time.”
